Comments/Leave a Comment not appearing on blog posts anymore.

    The Comments section on my client’s WordPress blog posts have completely disappeared. Anyone experience a problem like this? Because before readers could add a comment, but the “Leave a Comment” section just stopped appearing. Not sure when it happened exactly (probably in the last 2 months). Things I’ve checked:

    – Every post has the “Allow Comments” option ticked
    – The Settings > Discussion section has the “Allow people to post comments on new articles” option ticked
    – No errors or corruption in the wp_comments SQL table

    But when I go into the Dashboard’s ‘Comments’ section the comments are still there. But they’re just not appearing in the blog posts. Any thoughts as to what might be causing the issue? I didn’t install any strange plugins lately, or otherwise make any major changes to the WordPress site. Running WordPress version 4.9.4.

    It appears you’re using Disqus for your comments. Check that the plugin is set up correctly, authenticating, etc.

    Hi Steve- looks like you were correct about Disqus. I disabled the plugin and now the Comments section is working normally. I’ll keep testing things, but I think that was the problem.
