I have received 2 comments that my visitors have made on the indicated page, I have approved them but they are not displayed in the event. This is so? I have comments activated in The Event Calendar settings and I have received them as normal for a comment on a post or a rating on a product, but once approved, they are not displayed on the website. Could you help me? Thanks in advance.

For me to understand and learn more about your setup, could you provide the versions of the following?

    Hello @jreygarcia1960,

    Thanks for your reply.

The issue is from your WordPress Settings>>Discussion. I strongly recommend playing around with the settings, especially this one – https://share.zight.com/L1uyOmOp.

    I hope that helps.

Thank you very much for your quick reply.

I have tried changing the comment settings in WordPress without any positive results, the comments are not displayed.

I would also like to tell you, from the forums I have read, that I use Siteground hosting and the Speed Optimizer plugin, I don’t know if this has anything to do with it. If you don’t have any additional ideas, I’ll delete the event comments, although they seemed to be well received.

Anyway, thank you very much for your help. Receive cordial greetings.

    Fdo. Javier Rey.

    Hello Javier,

Thanks for your reply. Sorry for stepping off on the wrong foot.

Try turning on the comment setting at Events>>Settings>>Display Displayhttps://share.zight.com/rRuB08Jq.

    I hope that helps.

    Dear Frank:

Thanks, again, for the quick support.

I already had the show comments box enabled in the event settings, so there is nothing new.

    Have you considered Speed Optimizer?

Thanks for your help. Receive cordial greetings.

    Hello Javier,

    Thanks for your reply.

I’m not sure it’s caching-related. However, you can try excluding our CSS and JS files from getting cached and see if that helps – https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/siteground-optimizer/. Also ask your hosting provider to do it from the server-side.

I suspect there’s a conflict that’s causing the issue here. It would be good to test for conflicts. Could you follow the following steps?

    1. Deactivate all other plugins except for The Events Calendar Plugins.
    2. Switching to the Default theme.

Please read the Testing for Conflicts article before doing anything.

To be safe, we’d recommend conducting tests and updates on a Staging Server. Also, please keep a working backup of your website.

I hope that helps. Looking forward to hearing back from you.

    Hi, Frank

I have disabled the Extra theme and enabled my testing theme Twenty Twenty Four and the comments do show up, so I think it is something related to Extra. I will consult them.

Thank you very much for your help and support. Have a great day.

    Signed Javier Rey.
