Comments from Js-Kit XML export imported as posts

Hoping someone can help.. after hours and hours of work converting old FTP hosted blogger account over to my own website hosted WordPress blog, I had everything running pretty smoothly until the final step of attempting to import Js-kit hosted comments from xml file. The converter from xml to xmr kept bombing, so after many support contacts with js-kit, they advised I try the RSS import, which I did, but all the comments imported as if they were primary posts made by admin. Now I have a bunch of comments intermingled with the main blog posts. Is there any simple way of fixing this? Or do I need to just trash the “posts” that were created by this import? Any way to get old Haloscan (now Js-kit) comments to successfully link to old blog posts? I don’t mind manually editing php or the rss export files if someone can direct me to where links need to be edited.
