Comments direct to bin or rejected

    1) Sometimes comments are going directly to Bin

    2) Some comments are being rejected with an error code nc0 “You may have disabled Javascript”

    3) Some comments are going in fine!

    Are you able to provoke these 3 types of behaviours by submitting comments yourself? Do you have any anti-spam or other comments-related plugin active?

    Try deactivating these plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

    If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the default theme for your version of WordPress to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

    Sorry for delay in replying – I completely lost access to my site for some unknown reason, but I’m back in there again (having deactivated a plugin).

    I can’t duplicate any of the errors myself (trying from a different IP or my own IP).

    The two comment plugins I’m using (to try and reduce spam) are WP SpamShield and CommentLuv.

    Anyway, I’ve deactivated WP SpamShield and asked a friend whose comments consistently go to bin to try again. Let’s see what happens.

    Once WP SpamShield was deactivated the comments stopped going to bin.

    Think I’ll have to leave it at that as I’ve run out of time to try and fix this ??
