• Hi,
I learned how to add comments to my theme here but now on one of my pages I’m told “comments closed” why is that?
No big deal but I would like to get comments there too.
    Thanks

  • Jerry,

Have you checked that page inside the WordPress Admin area to see if comments have been closed there?

    WP2.7:
Click on Pages on the Left-side Dashboard
Then, Click on Edit next to the page that isn’t showing comments.
At the bottom of the page there is a “Discussion” box – make sure comments is checked and click on Save.

At the bottom of the edit page is only “tags” and then “headspace” twice
You know this page is just acting weird anyway. It comes up with the HTML edit window up and if you click on the visual window the post disappears leaving just a couple of red lines? And then it won’t go back to the HTML window, until you leave the page and come back again.
Oh and I am using 2.7

Hey, I’m new to Word Press and I’m having the same problem. My site shows that comments are closed. I’ve allowed comments in the options, but when I go to my POST page and scroll down to the Discussion area to check the allow comments box, the Discussion area disappears, or appears at the very bottom of the screen and then vanishes when I put my mouse near it. Even if I manage to ‘catch’ it and check the boxes it doesnt appear to save the settings and still shows Comments Closed.
Help would be much appreciated as this is driving me nuts.
    Thanks
    Dave
