Comments Broken After Upgrade to 9.4

    Jetpack Comments has been broken after upgrade to 9.4

    Get the following error:

    Error: Please fill the required fields (name, email).

    This is from both a logged in or logged out user.

    Have cleared cache, disabled / enabled plugin.

    Both deactivating the plugin and deactivating the module fix the issue.

    Sadly, seems specific to this site… cannot get similar results across other sites.

    Let my troubleshooting begin…

    In looking through some other threads, it appears I’m not the only person having this issue…

    Hi there

    Your site appears to be using Discuz rather than Jetpack comments. We’d need to see Jetpack Comments enabled in order to troubleshoot this issue.

    What other threads have you seen with the same issue? Can you provide links to those?

    @drawmyface yes, that’s correct… I went with Discuz when I couldn’t fix this. I don’t have another example on this site as I’ve fixed it with another plugin.

    Will let you know if I run across it again on another site that’s still utilizing Jetpack Comments.

    That sounds like a plan.
