• Discussion, trackback, and pingback boxes are all checked on my first post (home page) and comments are turned on in the settings Discussion page, but will not display.

They will display in 2016, but the user must spot the little tiny print, “Leave a Comment”, at the top of the post underneath the date of the post – not below it. And 2016 doesn’t display the author name.

    So frustrating.

  • Right now, you’re using 2016, and I see the author name on this post as “Bruce Wilson”:

    https://sacreddemocracy.org/2018/08/07/73/

I also see the full comment area. I’ve added a comment linking to this thread to see if commenting works. (Feel free to delete it.)

If you can’t see that on the front end, try emptying your browser cache.

    Kjodle,

Thanks so much for your response. THE MYSTERY DEEPENS.

I emptied my cache on the browser, but did not get the same results as you did.
so I tried this: instead of placing in the url window sacreddemocracy.org, I put that in plus the datesstamp of the permalink and the post number, 73, and BONGO! I got it.

Unfortunately, this is the case on all three browsers I test on, Explorer, FireFox, and Google, which is the one I edit WordPress on.

So why you were able to have all the information come through is a mystery to me.

    Any ideas?
