Comments are on for guests and members but don't work?

  • I have no idea when this could’ve happened, as I just noticed today below a video it said “comments are closed”. So I installed the “remove comments are closed” plugin, but I still get this message when I post as admin or log out and post as guest.

    “Sorry, comments are closed for this item.”

    In Discussion settings they’re turned on for both guests and members but they’re not working on any post.

    This is so strange. I can comment on the post in “Edit Post” mode and save it. I cannot comment on the front end in production on the web.

    I checked my permalinks as well. It’s not that either.
