Comments appear when turned off?

    On my pages, when I turn off comments and discussion, they still appear. I have turned off “Allow users to comment on new articles” Too so I just do not know why this is happening?

    Switching comments off only stops the ability to publish new comments. If you don’t want the comments to appear at all, you will need to either delete the comments or remove that entire section from the theme.

    I managed to sort it out, I had to go to the very bottom of the page editor and enable them again. Turning off allowing users to comment on new articles did work as well
