• Commenting is not working on any of the mapped domains on our WordPress multisite installation. When you try to post a comment on a post from a mapped domain, it redirects to the IP address of the user browsing the website as in IPADDRESS/$

We have tested multiple mapped domains and browsers. Our Domain Mapping Configuration is set using our two server IP addresses and these domain options set (1. Remote login, 2. Permanent Redirect, 4. Redirect administration pages to site’s original domain).

We have been using this plugin on our WP platform for a few years now and are a bit perplexed how to solve this issue.

Any leads would be much appreciated, and I can provide additional information and documentation as necessary.

I’d suggest you check and see if your server has been hacked.

Hi, our server (a VPS) hasn’t been hacked. Is there any way that the server could be set up that would negatively interact with the WordPress MU Domain Mapping plugin?

Additionally, we have a number of system-wide plugins installed to help ensure security (BruteProtect, WordFence, Quick Cache). Are any of those known to not play well with the WordPress MU Domain Mapping plugin?

I haven’t worked with any of those but it’s definitely something other than DM that’s redirecting.

Turning those off to see if the issue goes away would be a good place to start.
