Commenter name links to author page

Hi,

I was looking for a way to link a commenters name to his or her profile page (the “author” page).

Something like “the_author_posts_link” would be cool. But then for the person who left a comment. The_author_posts_link gives a link to the author page, but it does this for the person who wrote the post. I want a link to the author page of the person who wrote the comment.

This, in my opinion, seems like a very standard and basic feature. I use my wordpress as a community site so I don’t really need names to be linked to websites. Most registered people don’t even have their own webby. They can just add their link in the author page if they want to share it anyway.

My guess is this can only be done with custom code hacks. Would be lovely if there was a plugin that did that, though :]
