Comment verify email

hi everyone, i would want to be straightforward about this.

What i need is for the comment author to actually receive an email after he posts his comment and another email when the comment is approved by the blog owner.

Some people said that there already is a “checkbox” on the comment area for that purpose but i have not seen anything like that as of now.

Can anyone help? a plugin or a wordpress hack will do. thanks a lot!
