    Hi!

    I have recently began to see an issue with Comment Reply notification. Here is the scenario:
    1) User A plublishes a post
    2) User B comments on that post (New Comment is sent only to author)
    3) User A receives notification of new comment
    4) User A replies to comment.

    Here is the issue:
    User B receives reply notification but User A receives New Comment notification also. why?

    Thanks for your message.

    Have you tried ticking the checkbox that says ‘Do not send this Notification to the User that triggered it’ on the ‘New Comment / Awaiting Moderation’ notification?

    Hi!

    I am using it for a custom post type, in this case LearnDash Essays Comments.
    I tried to change the trigger to New Comment / Awaiting Moderation’ notification but then when a comment is made to an LearnDash Essay, it is not being sent.

    In the custom post type trigger, there is no ‘Do not send this Notification to the User that triggered it’ option.

    Can this be added is some custom code to the plugin?

    Hi @soportelec,

    Can you send me a screenshot of the notification screen after you’ve picked ‘LearnDash Essays Comments’ from the available list and saved the notification?

    How do you approve the comments in LearnDash? Do they show under Comments in the WP Admin Sidebar?

    Comments are approved by default, automatically. Yes they appear under Comments in WP Admin

    Thanks for your message.

    Because of LearnDash being a premium plugin and not one I can easily or readily test, I’m going to have to close this ticket for now. I’ve made a note of your issue and I will take another look in the future, when the opportunity arrises. I’m not sure why LearnDash would be preventing new comment notifications but it could be so that they can replace it with their own notifications within their plugin instead and this is causing a conflict with BNFW. You may have some luck by contacting the LearnDash authors directly regarding this.
