Comment Replies (Notifications) NOT via e-mail?

  • Is there a plug-in or a way to display a user’s comments’ replies on a page or widget?

    I know they can subscribe to get an e-mail every time someone replies to their comment, but I was wondering if that can just be displayed in a widget or page every time they log-in?

    I have an idea, but I’m not a pro so I’m not sure how plausible it is, but… What if the code that executes the email is altered to send the “email” to the widget/page, and that widget/page acts as an “inbox”?

    Or alternatively, is there a way to add this sort of notification to BuddyPress notifications?
