    No, you cannot prevent purging when there’s a comment, because that’s actually an ‘edit_post’ action.

    Runs when a post or page is updated/edited, including when a comment is added or updated (which causes the comment count for the post to update). Action function arguments: post or page ID.

    I’m assuming the reason you’re asking is that you have a lot of comments and thus a lot of varnish churn going on? That’s part of why the pages that get purged are kept to a minimum (only page 1, none of the sub-pages for tags, cats, comments, etc).

    There’s no automated purge. It’s all action based.
