    Hi,
I am not able to receive comments on my blog. The first entry was fine and now only one commenter can leave a message.

When going to the blog https://www.btsphotos.com and clicking on comments it redirects you to the same blog entry on a gray screen and wont let you type. I have many people emailing me saying they cant get one.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks
    tishia

Another question… how can I get the comments to show on the blog?

You have invalid markups in your theme. e.g.
    <p class="author_meta"><scan class="gravatar">
scan is not valid markup. replace it with span and that might solve 99% if not all of your theme problems. Good luck.

    I’m hoping someone can help.

My sister and I shared a blog (at https://www.yarnfamily.com/blog1), and somehow, the comments became utterly corrupt and started showing the errors that are on the page – I tried repair on the db and getting down current back ups and it just seemed totally off.

So instead, I started a new blog at https://www.yarnfamily.com/blog2. I got up and running, and the theme I currently have up seems to be working alright – at least I can LEAVE a comment; however, when I am in admin and go to the comments section, it shows there are none even though there are all the test comments I have up. If I put up other themes, when I try to leave a test comment, it redirects to wp-comments-post.php, but is just a blank page and comments can’t be left at all. If I go to Dashboard, it says there are 6 comments, but when I click the link to go there, again, it seems to think there are none.

I’ve just upgraded to WP2.6 in the hopes it would resolve, but I’m not having much luck.

Any tips or info someone might have would be greatly appreciated – I’m about to pull my hair out.

@jayden: your blog at https://www.yarnfamily.com/blog1 shows problems with the BASStats plugin. Delete the plugin and change theme to default theme. Check if comments show up in the single post page. If they do, shift design back to custom theme.
    – looks like you deleted blog2
    good luck.

thank you for your response. I was able to change the word. It has not made posting available but I will check again in the morning and see if it just took some time. It does do that to me every once in awhile. Do you happen to know how I can make the comments available on the blog for others to read?

I just downloaded a copy of your theme. Comments.php is in single.php and should appear when you look at single post page. Please confirm that you uploaded all your theme files which include a folder of images, 12 PHP files, 1 CSS file, 1 screenshot.png and 1 submit.gif – download theme again from here. Good luck.
