Comment Popularity – syntax error – unexpected T_STRING

    Tried to activate this great looking plugin but received this error message:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/content/07/8387007/html/tech/wp-content/plugins/comment-popularity/comment-popularity.php on line 31

    I am currently running PHP version: 5.2.17
