• Now, before you yell at me for now searching, I have been searching/working on this for about 4 hours last night.

I do not want my comments to open up in the same window (as it is going now). I have tried all of the suggestions made on here, but the problem is that my index.php and other pages do not have the code on it that says should be fixed. I have tried to re-create the code but it messes up the page. I would love to use the wpopen script, but I don’t have the script in my includes. I am at my wits end. I just want the comments to open in a 500X500 window and be done with it lol. I have been designing websites for years now, so this has me so frustrated.

I am using an old template (twilight) and maybe that is the problem. I have the most current version of wp. Here is the site…

maybe someone could take a peek at the source code to give me some advice.

  • Do you have a copy of comments-popup.php in your theme folder? That may be the place to start, I’m not sure of where to go from there, don’t use popups myself….

yes, I do have that. here I made it into a text file so that you can see it…

Well, your first problem is that your doctype shows up in the middle of your source, below the whole left column stuff, which is certainly NOT right. Other than that, it’s all in tables, which I have zero facility with any more.

You might have better luck adding the popup thing into a more current theme. But until you move the doctype declaration to where it belongs, you won’t even be able to validate your code to see if you’ve got stuff wrong and where….

Nope, the commpents-popup.php file is absolutely fine. ALL the popup files have those lines before the doctype.
However, I cannot find any “comment” link to click on your site. The second real issue you have with your doctype is that in your main page you included the WP blog’s whole file, so you have 2 (two) doctypes on that page.

Moshu, I was looking at page source when I was talking about the doctype position….

Oops, I guess I read too fast ??

s’okay, I didn’t address the text file because it looked fine to me (as much as I know about it – and I did NOT know it would appear ABOVE the doctype, so thanks for that bit of info….) – I was really concerned with the fact that there was all that stuff above the doctype in the source, and didn’t as well note that there was no place to actually click to input a comment! Too fuzzy today for some reason I guess….
