Comment Pagination – Add rel=”next” & rel=”prev”
-
Hi there,
we have a blog where some posts have up to 2500 genuine comments. Naturally we need to use wordpress comment pagination, otherwise the posts take forever to load. Yoast adds a canonical to the original post URL in the comment pagination sites. That may be good if we have 10 comment per page or so – but we tend to have 500 per page –> hence this is GOOD, unique content, which I would rather like to have juice up the orignal post page…this isn’t duplicate content, so canonical to the original post page is the wrong signal. Would it not make more sense to remove the canonical and instead use noindex and add rel=”next” & rel=”prev” to strengthen the post homepage?
I did not find any kind of options in the yoast plugin – is there any way to do this?
Thanks,
Sebastian
