• Since recent JP update, everything else working, I tried disconnecting then reconnecting, then the new post notifications started again, but still commentators that tick the box “Notify me of follow-up comments by email” get the confirmation email, but not any follow up comments. debug url gives

When I check my logs, I see you’re doing a GET request, but a post is expected, so a 400 is expected. domain https://www.jihadwatch.org

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

There seems to be an issue with your site’s connection to WordPress.com, and I wonder if the problem could be linked to your HTTPS setup.

Can you please use Jetpack’s Debugger module to send us some more information about your site?

    1) Go to the Jetpack page in your dashboard.
    2) Click on the Debug link appearing at the bottom of the page.
    3) Click the link that says “click here to contact Jetpack support.”
    4) Fill in the description box and your name and email address.
    5) Click the “Contact Support” button.

    Thanks!

    Still not connecting on debug,
but the subscribers are now getting updates on comments (did you change something?),
And yes, the there is an nginx proxy with the SSL (forced), but apache at the back is port 80 only, but then again in WP settings, it’s https. That might be a bit odd, all other site with the same proxy setup have ssl both back and front end, none having the same issue.
But as I said initially, the 400 error is expected on a get to that xmlrpc url. whys it not doing a post?

I haven’t made any changes, and I still see connection troubles on your site, so I’m surprised to hear that works ??

Jetpack does POST requests only, so I’m not sure where that GET is coming from. At what point do you see that GET request? Does it appear regularly, or when loading specific pages in your dashboard? I wonder if your proxy may be filtering some of the requests, thus causing this issue.
