    Hi,

I recently moved from one hosting solution to another successfully, by saving the database using phpAdmin, editing the SQL file and restoring it into the new server.

Everything is working fine, except that the comment notifications are not going to the e-mail address I provided in Options->General Options->E-mail address. (I provided a gmail address here.) I have turned on comment notification in Options->Discussion->E-mail me whenever.

In the old host, comments wer going to the e-mail address I provide, but that was an e-mail in the old host. Is there any chance that this info is in some database, but the GUI shows the updated one?

    Thanks,

    – Umesh

Comment notification goes to the email address of the author of a given post, not the admin email address.

    Thanks, MichaelH. That helped.

I figured out what was wrong. The WP database had the user’s e-mail ID as the old e-mail ID. Corrected that.

Still there was a cached PHP file, which bypassed reading the database, which had the e-mail info. Corrected that too.

Now, the comment notifications go to my ID.

    This thread can be closed.

    Thanks,

where is that in the database?

Any chance of wp making it easier to find the settings which wp uses to send emails? I have searched through the database and the files and can find no sign of my email server through which I send mails.
