Comment notification not working

  • I just did a fresh install of WordPress 1.2 and set my Discussion Options to email me when anyone posts a comment. Comments will appear on the blog but I do not recieve an email.

    Are there other settings I should check? I should mention that, when I send a comment (pressing Say It), I get and Internal Server Error. You may see it if you try to send a test comment.

  • I had the same problem and resolved it closing the antivirus in the server (at home) ???

    Thanks for the reply. My server (Apache) is run by my web hosting company, so I don’t have control over it.

    My problem is solved. It turns out that the security settings for my account at WebServe.ca were set to High Security and I needed to have them set to 3.1 Compatible in order to WordPress to work properly. The server adminstrator made the change for me and my email notification/approval functions are working again.

    My server side did not reply me yet, but I think my server side, yahoo, did not do anything. However, mine is not working either.
