• Hi, since last week suddenly I don’t receive notifications anymore on the email address I’ve been using for years when someone leaves a comment. Strange thing is that I do occasionally receive an update if it is a comment which needs approval (first time commenters), but others do not show up.

    I’ve tried changing the email address it is sent to and changing it back to the original one, but this didn’t fix the issue. Also checked if the comments didn’t end up in my spam folder, which also wasn’t the case.

    How can I solve this issue?

  • Jetpack emailed me back and said:

    “The comments on your site are not controlled by Jetpack. I recommend asking Bluehost for more information about why some comments are not making it through to their servers, and if they’re not sure, then I recommend asking for more troubleshooting steps you can take to find out.”

    I’m getting frustrated because bluehost keeps telling me its a WP or plugin issue, but everyone else is telling me it’s a hosting issue. I will try calling them again today.

    @kmessinger I will try out that other plugin too.

    I’ve been having this same issue. I spoke with my host, Bluehost, and they said it was not an issue concerning them because their servers were working fine. Anyone had any luck?

    @paige.sloan bluehost tried everything possible and it seems as though my personal gmail account was black listing my domain host notification. They ended up setting me up with a new email with my domain name and then forwarding it to me gmail. It was the other thing that worked. Do you also use gmail?

    Is there a new thread for this issue or was it somehow resolved?

    I no longer get comment notification either … and I have a client with the same issue.

    (We are both on Bluehost and we both use Gmail.)

    Yeah, I still have the issue and I very rarely receive an update. So it seems this is an issue on Bluehost’s side. Have not contacted them yet as I didn’t have the time, but it seems the most logical.
