comment notification email

    WordPress is not sending me comment notification emails. If a comment is held in moderation, I receive an email (“Please moderate: [post title]”), but if the comment is not held in moderation or after I approve a comment from moderation, I do not get a notification email.

    I just discovered this so I’m not positive which of the plugins may have caused it. It may also be related to a recent upgrade to 3.1.2. Will be deactivating plugins.

    Even if you don’t know what might be causing it, I would appreciate it if you have any ideas of more specific terminology or whatnot that I should search under to find a solution!

    Well,problem solved. Sorta. The problem goes away when I deactivate the “nextgen gallery” plugin. So now I gotta figure out how to get that out of my site.

    You only get an email when a comment is held for moderation or when a comment is posted if you have the boxes checked in discussion settings.

    You won’t get an email after you approve a comment that was held – you shouldn’t need one as you all ready know about it :^)

    All of the boxes were checked appropriately. And, for years I’ve been getting an email after approving a comment- I’ve appreciated this as it makes it easier for me to email the commenter.

    Like I said I figured out that the problem was related to the NextGen gallery plugin. Now I’m going to see if I can get rid of that plugin without losing all the photos it contains.
