Comment Moderation Queue Full — Can’t Bulk Moderate

Hi All.

I have searched for the past two hours to see if anyone else has had this problem before and I couldn’t find anything; please forgive me if there is something already posted.

My problem is that over the past 5 days I accumulated 1420 comments ‘Awaiting Moderation.’ Yes, 1,420. I finally got Askimet up and running and it seems to have stopped new comment spam but when I attempt to bulk moderate the comments in the moderation queue, I can’t. It actually only shows the last 2 or 3 (they are each a page long with links) and no ‘Moderate Comments’ button at the bottom.

I can delete each comment individually but that is it. As you can imagine, that is a nightmare that I just can’t do.

Is there a way that I can go in through PHPMyAdmin and delete the comments awaiting moderation? If so, what would be the query to return only those comments and not all comments?

I am a novice when it comes to queries so please take it easy on me!
