• Hey guys I just upgraded my site https://www.chrisjdavis.org to the “bleeding edge beta”, and I am loving alot of the changes. One question though, I am attempting to use the comment moderation, and I am getting the following errors when I attempt to approve a comment:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /Library/WebServer/Documents/blog/wp-admin/wp-moderation.php on line 56
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /Library/WebServer/Documents/blog/wp-admin/wp-moderation.php:56) in /Library/WebServer/Documents/blog/wp-admin/wp-moderation.php on line 80

Not sure if this was not ready for primetime, or if something is borked on my end. I checked the file for any stray carraige returns and found none. I am currently just changing the value in the database manually to approve the comments, so all is not lost.
Just thought I would bring it up. I pulled this from CVS yesterday.

  • the reason that I mentioned a fresh install was because I had run into similar problems in the past.
also he will not loose any data or his index page so it could be worth it.

Hey everybody, I am not sure what is going on, but my life still has no comment moderation joy.
I even set up a new blank database and installed a fresh version, and when I try to use the bulk moderation, I still get the same error.
For the record I performed a checkout via terminal, I didn’t even put in my index.php file and CSS, I am using the stock files from the install.
Soooo, I am thinking that I DON’T have a corrupted or too hacked-up file that is borking this. Since I have now performed everyones suggestions, anything else?
Info: I am running it on a MacOS X.3 Panther box, running PHP 4.3.2 and MySQL 4.0.16-standard with Apache 1.3.28.
Hope everyone is having a good Holiday Season.

Jesuit, just out of idle curiousity…have you run the upgrade script? (wp-admin/upgrade-072-to-080.php if the CVS is earlier than today’s, wp-admin/upgrade.php if it’s today’s.)

I created a blank database and used the install script to populate it, and still had the problems. And yeah I used the upgrade scripts on the other database.
And just for fun I just went and ran the upgrade script(upgrade.php) on the fresh database and then tried the bulk moderation and still no joy.

You know what, I just had a thought. Would someone please post for download a copy of thier moderation.php file for me. Cena perhaps, since you have stated that you are able to use the bulk moderation feature perfectly.
I am out of ideas and options at this point, other than getting my hands on a file that works fro someone else and trying it out.
    Thanks

You know what, nevermind. I got tired of having to approve the comments the round about way, so I added an approve option to the latest comments screen. I am not sure why it wasn’t there in the first place, I would assume that it would be just as good a place as any, since the unapproved comments show up as light blue you can tell pretty easily which ones are approved and not approved.
I think I like this better anyway, so don’t worry about my isolated problem anymore.
    Chris
