Comment is awaiting moderation will NOT go away no matter what i do

    Hi all.

    Before I posted this message I did everything from turn all my plugins off to scan my site to clear my cache to whatever is usually done to identify a problem. I even tried everything on the 2015 theme as well as my current “made’ theme to no avail.

    However for the life of me I can not get visitor comments to post without the ” Your comment is awaiting moderation ” to appear.

    I have tried the default wordpress commenting system as well as the current jetpack settings.

    Before these I had Disqus set up but uninstalled it do to it slowing my site down a bit.

    I have Akismet activated as well.

    I though perhaps wordfence may have been doing something but i can not see any settings that would affect commenting on my site.

    Let’s try this:

    First try resetting the plugins folder by FTP. And with resetting of plugin’s folder switch to the the UNEDITED default Twenty Fifteen theme.

    Thank you but that has already been done. LOL, honestly i think ive tried everything a noob would know how to do.

    Can I see your site WITH ALL plugins off and the Twenty Fifteen theme on?

    No sorry, the site is a live site with affiliate earnings on the line. No can do.

    Then how you or the forum-volunteers are going to troubleshoot the issue?

    I totally understand your point. However I have sponsors and such visiting my site on a regular basis and having the entire site look like a train wreck to fix the comment section is unacceptable.

    I’ve decided to just use disqus which seems to work just fine without awaiting moderation.

    I appreciate your help though.
