Comment Forms GDPR compliant?

By default, WP 4.9.6 now includes a “Comment Consent” checkbox below the Comments form (“Save my name, email, and website in this browser for the next time I comment”) in order to be GDPR compliant. However, this doesn’t show on themes that “create their own comments box” so to speak.

Will you be updating this theme to include this checkbox? Or could you possibly tell us how to edit the code (child theme) to include this?
