• A reader of my blog was about to post a comment when he noticed that his comment form was pre-populated with the name and email address of the person who posted the previous comment. He sent me a screen shot and I was able to reproduce it; the comment form on my computer was displaying the email of another commenter, information which is supposed to be private. I deleted the pre-populated email, but it happened again with the next person who commented. Anyone else seeing this problem? I’ve unchecked the requirement for entering the commenter’s name and email until I can get this resolved. I would prefer to just remove the email field altogether, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to do that. I’m aware of the risk of doing that, but publicly displaying a commenter’s email to everyone is a far bigger risk for me. Appreciate any help.

That’s not the default behavior of WP.

To rule out a plugin or theme conflict, please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.
