Comment count showing zero when reviews are there

Before the last update, this was working fine. Now, if a review is left, the counter still says zero, even if you can view the reviews. It seems the counter is only registered now if you also leave a star rating.

Note, the reviews say zero but if you go into the tab, you can read 5 reviews. As I said before, this was not a problem before the last update.Additionally, older products are still showing the correct counts until I add reviews, in which case it reverts back to zero.
I’m using the Avada theme and it appears that I have no conflicting plugins.
Any ideas?
