• I just installed 2.5 and now the comments are no longer numbered under manage > posts > comments (when i click on # of comments) like it was in 2.3. How can I add that back in? I do giveaways on our site sometimes and it really helps when I have them numbered since I use a random number generator to determine winner. Any help is appreciated. thank you.

  • Hover your mouse over the comment author name and look in the browser status bar for the URL–in that URL will be the comment number (c=x).

The only problem with that is that it’s numbered per blog vs per post. So instead of it counting the comments 1-363, I’m getting 783, 799, 801, etc. It makes it much more difficult that way.

Before, when you would click on the # of comments in a post, it would show all the comments listed and in front of it, they would be numbered in sequence 1, 2, 3, etc in front of each comment. Am i explaining this okay?

Understood. Sorry best I can offer you is to suggest you report that as a bug at https://trac.www.remarpro.com. Use your forum login there.

There’s been a number of complaints about ‘numbering’ and ID numbers so add your voice to the mix.

    Will do. thank you!

I am having the same problem. It makes contest much more time consuming when determining what number post is the winner. This bug definitely needs to be fixed.
