  • @melody62): Hello there,
    The comment count is already there. It just seems to invisible due to its white text color.
    On your site https://melodyk.nl/met-dank-aan-2/

    Go to => Appearance => Customize => Additional CSS and add the following CSS Code.

    .comments-title {
        color: #a48d68;
    }

    Now you should see the text 11 thoughts on “Met dank aan…” on that page.

    Let me know if this helps you out!

    Also for swift replies please post your issues and queries on our Official Theme Support Forum https://catchthemes.com/support-forum/

    Hi Skandha

    Thank you for the quick response.

    My apologies for not being clear enough, I did not mean what you thought…

    I meant the comment-count on the homepage… alongside the date & authorname

    Would like to see the commentcount(total of comments) there …

    Hope that that is possible

    It makes me sad to have to notice again that, Like on many other themes, support to those who use a theme for free instead of pro… seems to be impossible !

    @melody62: Hello there,
    Sorry for the late reply. To have the comments count like you wish to you will need to create a child theme and do bit of customization. Let me know if you are familiar with child theme customization otherwise I suggest you to get it done by a professional.

    Kind Regards,
    Skandha

    Hi Jan… I’ve already expected that… I know that ‘dupes’ are not allowed but I wanted to make clear that I feel the lack of support on many themes wich can be used free.

    The ‘dupe’ I placed wass only to avoid waiste of time by questions about the question and my url …

    Hi Skandha

    Apologies accepted.

    I know a little about it, wich has most of the times, proven to be enough.

    To hire a professional is not an option, am not able to pay for it, nor willing to either.

    Please tell me what I deed to change / where

    Thank you.

    Oh and by the way…. why is the status of this thread marked resolved whenn it clearly is not yet?

    @melody62: Hello there,
    Only you or the moderators can mark this thread resolved. The moderator may have done it.

    So first you will need to create a child theme. You can use Generate Child Theme Plugin to create a child theme. Install and Activate the Plugin.

    Go to => Dashboard => Generate Child Theme =>Select Parent Theme as Bold Photography Fill the remaining fields and Click Generate.
    This will install and activate the child theme.

    Now,
    Go to => Child Theme Folder => Create new folders template-parts/content.
    Inside content folder create a new file content.php and paste the code in this link.

    Now you should be able to see the comments count beside the author name.

    Let me know if this works out!
    Kind Regards,
    Skandha
