I’ve been struggling to test an installation of wordpress in “dry dock” for the last while and I’ve run into a couple of interesting issues. One thing I’d like to see fixed is the Blog commenting … There needs to be an option to totally disable commenting if a user is not logged in but allow them when he is.

The current system produces a link to “login or register”… both of which lead to the WP backend login screen, which I don’t want people using. I have Profile Builder doing that on the front end, very nicely. There should be an option to simply remove the “leave a comment” link from each blog post unless the reader is registered and logged in… they just shouldn’t see it at all.

    If there’s a plugin for this I haven’t found it…

Afterthought … an option to disable the back end login dialog would also be nice.
