Comment boxes: what happens to website detail

    When commentors leave a comment on the site why are they asked to fill in a name, email AND “website”? What happens to the website element and does it serve useful purpose for them?

    I cannot see it published anywhere. In “discussion settings” I don’t allow either of these:

    – Attempt to notify any blogs linked to from the article
    – Allow link notifications from other blogs (pingbacks and trackbacks)

    I ask because I have a lot of comments on my site https://www.leaseholdknowledge.com, but one poster seems to be a contrarian poster trying to draw attention to his site.

    Is there any way I am assisting this? Or should I remove the website element from the comment reply box?
