Comment box (subscribe to comments – sign in with other services)

New to WordPress. I am not a programmer but I can hack some code.
Theme being used is Basic Simplicity.

Due to time constraints I let someone else design my website and integrate my blog into it. Next year I’ll redo the entire thing myself in WordPress but for now I have to find a way to work with what I have. Which means I’ve been hacking away at things and I don’t remember if this comment thing was an issue from the start or not.

With some of the WordPress blogs I visit, there’s this thing when you comment that lets you subscribe to comments. Also that lets you log in with WP, FB or Twitter.

I’d like to be able to do that on mine without changing themes.

I’d also like to insert a simple horizontal line in-between each post if there’s an easy way to do that.
