Comment box not showing on posts

  • Hello,

    I’m working with the Hueman theme, and I can’t seem to get the comments to appear below my blog posts.

    Things I’ve tried:
    1. Settings>Discussion>Allow people to post comments on new articles
    2. All Posts>Select All Titles>Bulk Action: Edit>Comments: Allow
    3. Deactivated all plugins. Checked site, still no comment box
    4. Reactivated all plugins one by one. Comment box never shows

    I am in the process of moving this site from .com to .org, and the previous comments are visible in the .org’s Comments section. They’re also visible at the end of their corresponding posts, but nowhere do I get a box to add new comments.

    Please let me know if there’s anything else I can try, or if I should just use a different theme.

    Login to WordPress.
    Navigate to your post.
    Click on customize button.

    Go to Main Body Design -> Comments
    Find the setting -> Posts Comments
    Check the checkbox and Save Changes.

    Hi Denzel, thanks for your response.

    I went to Customize>Main Body Design, but there is no Posts Comments section. I saw “Post List Design and Content: Blog, Archives, and Search Results” but there is nowhere to turn on comments.

    Any ideas?

    Hi again,

    I tried this again in Firefox (I was using Chrome before). In Firefox I see the Comments section within Main Body Design, however that section does not appear in Chrome. The checkbox for Posts Comments is checked but the comment box still does not appear under the blog posts in any browser.

    Any help is appreciated!

    Hi,

    Edit your post and check that you had allow comments.

    If you have any custom template in a child theme, you should check and update your customization with reference to current theme templates.

    I have allowed comments in all posts and don’t have any child themes. I still can’t see the comment box below any posts.

    Any help is appreciated!

    Hi,

    Disable all your plugins and check if your comment system works properly.

    If you are still not able to get it to work, you will have to hire a developer to login to your website to troubleshoot for you.
