Comment box is missing

The comment box doesn’t show up when I click on the comment link. I am new to WP and know nothing about PHP yet, so I have no idea how to find out what the problem is.

I went to the developer’s site, but he has no contact information. So I tried to leave a comment on the theme’s page asking him about it, but the exact same thing is happening on his site: no comment box appears.

Where should I start? Do you need to see the comment.php?
