    btw, same results if i activate twenty fifteen theme or my premium theme.

    Just figured it out.

    In wordpress settings > general menu I had my “site address (URL)” set to “www.domain.com” when I switched it back to just “domain.com” that worked for me.

    Unfortunate as I was wanting it to resolve to www. but not critical.

    Great! yeah your site has to be either on www or non www. You can mix.
