Comics are not showing up on author archive page

    When I click on the author’s link to go to their page (URL/author/user), blog posts show up but not comics. I thought maybe the comics just don’t show up anywhere but the comic page until I saw one pop up as a search result. So it seems that the search function can pick up key words in the comic title or description, but the author archive page can’t pick up the post meta or something. Any ideas?

    I noticed there is no authors section under “All Comics” in the WordPress backend. Would that have something to do with it?

    I figured it out. You need to add the following code to you functions.php file:

    /* Add CPTs to author archives */
	function custom_post_author_archive($query) {
	    if ($query->is_author)
	        $query->set( 'post_type', array('comic', 'post') );
	    remove_action( 'pre_get_posts', 'custom_post_author_archive' );
	}
	add_action('pre_get_posts', 'custom_post_author_archive');
