    I am here:https://manicrepressive.com/7comic
and I cannot upload new media for the comic. I’m using the ComicPress 4.1 theme. I go to “add a new comic” then set the featured image, and it loads it about 99% of the way, then shows up as “error, try again later”. Then the image shows up in the media library, under a different name, and unable to attach to any post.
It’s not the file, because I just uploaded it to a different site I also manage.
Any idea what the issue is?
    Thanks.

  • I’m having the same issue. It’s been happening for several weeks now, but snaps out of it after a couple of minutes. Today, I’ve been at it for over an hour, and it just won’t work.

Same exact thing just started happening to me. Except it’s not snapping out of it. Mine doesn’t even load 25% of the way before I get the error. And the media library is just a blank white screen now.

The image still shows up when I click the media library from the left menu though.

All themes and plug-ins are up to date.

Update – deactivating the Ajax Thumbnail Rebuild plug-in solved this problem for me.

I guess it’s probably always a good idea to deactivate everything then start turning them back on one by one to find the culprit. Fortunately, this was at the top of the list so it didn’t take long to figure out the issue. It was also a good excuse to clear out plug-ins I wasn’t using anymore.

Hopefully there aren’t any long term ramifications of deactivating that plug-in.

Yes. I turned off all of the plug-ins, then only reactivated the Comic Easel & Google Analytics. Works just fine now.
