• I installed this plugin for the first time last night, and after enabling and logging out of WP noticed that the notes in the source were that it was not caching. I assumed it was a cokkie issue and left it for today. But I am getting the same message today. On Chrome, I cleared all cookies and browsing data. And I have not logged into WP yet. However, when viewing the source the message still says:
<!-- Comet Cache is NOT caching this page, because the current user visiting this page (usually YOU), appears to be logged-in. The current configuration says NOT to cache pages for logged-in visitors. This message may also appear if you have an active PHP session on this site, or if you've left (or replied to) a comment recently. If this message continues, please clear your cookies and try again. -->

I do not have a php session open, nor have I left or replied to any comments. When I logged out last nght, the plugin was definitely enabled. Why might I be getting these comments.

  • @rpvp There are really only two scenarios where you’d get that message: 1) You are actually logged into the WordPress site, or 2) you’ve left a comment on the site and a cookie was set in your browser. If neither of those apply, Comet Cache should not produce that message. Clearing your browser cache should rule out the cookie issue, so it’s really odd that you’re still seeing that message.

Would it be possible to get a link to the site so that I can see if it shows that message for me too?
