• I launched a re-designed version of a website and simultaneously moved the site to a new server. I initially installed WP stats before DNS propagated over and so, I was referencing the site like this:

    kerrianne.org.s23901.gridserver.com

So, initially for the launch day all stats were “tallied” under that URL.

Then, once DNS propagated and I was able to access the site via the actual domain name, I disabled the WP stats plugin and re-enabled it and then had to put in my API key again. I didn’t realize that all of the stats from launch day would disappear because they were being “tallied” under kerrianne.org.s23901.gridserver.com rather than kerrianne.org domain itself.

Therefore, my question is this: is it possible to combine the stats from that first day (launch day) when they were tallied under kerrianne.org.s23901.gridserver.com and roll them into my stats for kerrianne.org?

I hope this is clear what I’m asking for. I’m sure it is a commond problem people run into from time to time. Please let me know if anyone knows if this can be done and thank you for your help, in advance.

    Chris

  • I am interested too, in somethign similar: can I use my api key for several of my blogs?

I also moved to new host and changed folder structure as well, but still have two sets of stats that I’d like to combine so I can have one longer history to guage.

one from up until I moved from old host to new

    combined with

    new host stats.

    for same blog. same api
