Combining two variable products

Does anyone know the best way to combine two variable product sets together?

For instance, I have a product that is currently segmented into standard and nonstandard sizes, now I want to bring all nonstandard sizes into the standard size product.

Right now I thought I could do it by exporting the products to a csv and changing a product ID but that doesn’t appear to be the right way.

Anyone know the best way to do it?
