combining ACF with PODS for bidirectional relationships

    Hi!

    I am working on a Site that has CPTs Movies, Booklets, Collections
    Booklets have a Movie assigned to and Collections can have many Movies assigned.

    I tried the relationship features with PODS and thought they were great.
    However there is not real Page Builder Integration outside of using shortcodes, so I chose to go with ACF and Elementor to make it easier for the designer.

    Now I see that bidirectional relationships are not part of ACF.
    Would it be possible to use PODS to add that? Does this make sense at all or is it just going to slow down my site?
    Can I still access the field data via ACF in the Builder?
    Or would I have to use the short codes of pods to then access data of related posts?

    Hi @mistermarian

    You are correct that Elementor only partially supports Pods. I do believe they support our relationship fields to some extend though. Please contact Elementor Pro support if you need help with their builder.

    You can use ACF and Pods side-by-side without issues though.
