.com vs .org templates
-
I have an existing website that has been running for years and I want to completely re-design it for compatibility with mobile phones. I was recommnded to WordPress and the templates on WordPress.com look just what I want. Having found a suitable template (called Textbook) I went to sign up, but found that if I want to host my own site (and I’ve just paid for a years hosting in advance on the existing site) then I should head over to www.remarpro.com. Fair enough, but the org site looks much emptier -there are far fewer themes avaialble and the one I wanted isn’t listed. Not only that, but noen of the thems I’ve tried ahve the facility to view the site on a mobile or tablet sized window. Are the templates for .org sites inherently different? I’d hoped to avoid writing code but the org site seems much more code orientated than the com one. Is this right?
