• Hi there

Not sure if this is the right forum.

Ive got a site mywebsite.ie which has local prices in euro and an Irish phone number.
Client also has bought the mywebsite.co.uk domain name and for this site he’d like a UK phone number displayed and maybe different message.

So how best to handle this localisation. 2 separate sites?
Wordpress Multisite? Or are there simple plugins that can display a different homepage
based on what URL the user visited on.

Any advise would be most helpful.

    thanks

No matter which way you do it, it’s a little messy.

Is ONLY the front page different? If so, you can try messing with mirroring so everything’s root relative, and then have a PHP check for what the domain is and change the widget content. But it would have to be home-built.

It might only be one file such as header.php
so I could have a header-uk.php and as you say a check
to include whichever one based on the URL.

This header could contain the phone numbers or a new logo or something..

    thanks for your reply.
    much appreciated.
