Columns overflowing.

    Hi guys, I’m having a slight problem with my columns overflowing their content from the left column into the right and visa versa.

    I could solve this problem by making sure the content I post doesn’t exceed the width of around 560 pixels but this would take some time and effort for each post, is there an easier way to fix this problem, i.e. automatically crating a new line when my text reaches a certain limit?

  • Can you post a link to your site? Generally, with things like this, someone has to be able to see the actual CSS code being used live.

    It’s not necessary to post a link to the stylesheet. This can be seen publicly by viewing the source of your website.

    What I need is a url to an example of where you are having this issue.

    The site’s only based on a local server as of yet that’s the reason why I posted the CSS here.

    I’m sure I could set up a free domain and hosting and install wordpress on that if that would lead to a solution to this problem?

    Yeah, it’s pretty hard to help with things like this unless the actual site is visible…

    But a few things you could try first are Validating your pages for both Mark-up and CSS errors — to make sure that’s not causing or contributing to the problems.

    Then try using Firebug in Firefox to look at the CSS in the section that is misbehaving…that helps you figure out where the problem is and what to change.

    Problem solved! Thanks for the head’s up on firebug, I was able to simply locate what section of the styling that needed to be altered, added a simple border, boom problem solved, thanks so much for the help!
