Columns Background

  • Hello.

    On a new site (WP 4.6.1 / GeneratePress 1.3.40 / Elementor 0.11.1), setting a background (color/image) or a border does not seem to work for Columns. Sections yes, but not Columns.

    Also, on a full width page, the Section background (color or image) spans the entire width, even when set to “Boxed”. The content is constrained but not the background. Is that how it is designed?

    Thanks and great work on Elementor. Look forward to seeing the Pro version.

    1. Note that in order to see the style changes you set for a column, you must insert some content – Image, text, heading etc. – inside it.

    2. Yes. Setting a page to full width it force all of the backgrounds to use the screen, right to left.

    Thanks Boaz, you’re quite correct. As soon as I added content, the styling changes for the Column worked just fine.

    And if I wanted a particular Section background to be “Boxed” along with the content, can it readily be done using CSS?

    With CSS you should be able to achieve this result.
