• I stupidly made changes to the categories section by moving all the posts in one category to a new one and then I deleted the old one as it was empty.
Trouble is this category was included in one of the columns on my homepage, the old title is still there (despite the fact that I have deleted it from the categories section) but the column is empty of all posts and I cannot find where to access this on the website to assign the new category to the home page and can’t seem to find a plug-in that would do this for me.
I was trying to simplify the site and in doing so have managed to wreck the look of it. Hoping some one can help!

I will be backing up in future!

    Thanks in anticipation

    Catriona

  • More than likely the title is hardcoded into your theme’s homepage template. Its name varies from theme to theme. Look for home.php or anything else that has the word home in it. Some themes hardwire a homepage box to a specific category name or category ID. If you are replacing it with a different category you may have to update that category name or ID.
