• I’m very very new to this… just installed WordPress two days ago. I just made my first post in my blog at https://www.joyfulabode.com, and found out the center column can’t accommodate pictures that are 500px wide. I would like it to at least be able to handle 500, preferably 600.

I thought I found the place in the stylesheet to change the width of the columns, but when I saved it and refreshed my website, there was no change.

Any help for a newbie? Thanks!

Also, I would really like the left and right columns to be at about 150-160px wide…

  • You better try to find a theme that is doing what you want; I mean has the proper width (or fluid layout) to accomodate your needs.

So do you mean the layout I chose won’t let me adjust the width at all??

I really don’t want to switch, because other than that it seems pretty perfect.

I edited the images so they fit, but I’d still like any input anyone has about changing the width of the center column.

Well, it is not perfect if you have to change it ??
Of course, you can change the width… the problem is: if you have to ask how to do it – then it’s difficult.

I tried to give a brief explanation in this thread:
